多数师资同时在从事该领域的大学实践或咨询活动，因此便能把理论与实践积极地联结起来。学院学专关注涉及未来城市构造的有留业各种问题，把伦敦作为研究影响建筑环境的伦敦建筑、建造与城市情形的大学独特实验室，并且完善地配备了画室、学院学专工作室、有留业计量与环境实验室以及规模庞大的伦敦图书馆。
