Dr. Oksana Carlson has 12 years of experience in leadership roles inU.S. higher education and more than 15 years in international business. She hasbeen at the Johns Hopkins University, the leading research university in theU.S. since 2005. She developed and oversaw the innovative Global MBA program,provided leadership to Master of Science programs, Executive MBA, andinternational strategy initiatives of the Carey Business School.
Prior to joining the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, Dr. Carlson managedthe international programs at The George Washington University. Herprofessional experience includes international project development and project managementat Johns Hopkins Medicine International; the Hyundai Business Center, andextensive work in business development with both nonprofit and for-profitorganizations.
Dr. Carlson is often invited as a guestspeaker and a visiting lecturer by many universities in Asia, such as FuzhouUniversity, Guangdong University of Finance and
Economics, and others. She wasalso invited to deliver lectures on higher education in the U.S. and strategiesfor applicants to U.S. business schools, at Education USA offices in China,Korea, and Kazaskhstan.
She received a Doctor of Education degree with focus on InternationalEducation from the University of Minnesota, an MBA in International Businessfrom the George Washington University (Washington, DC), and Master of Arts inMarketing and Journalism from the Far Eastern State University (Russia). Inaddition, she completed professional management training programs in Italy andJapan, organized by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
